Legacy

Legacy is a very personal project for me. Dorothée Warning is the woman that taught me how to make garments and I have always been fascinated with capturing the skills and techniques that make her so good at what she does.

Another notion that I have been trying to subvert is that making clothes is a solely glamorous business. She is a tailor in the eastern part of Berlin and works in her workshop on top of being a tutor at Universität der Künste.

Her craft is hard work and requires a lot of discipline. To honor my memory of my time and the meaning of that, I have captured her and her techniques.
